Ratings and comments are taken from a post-trip survey they completed.
Hotel Accomodations Rating and Comments: (scale 1 - 5, 5 being the best)
Room Size: 5 - The shower was a walk-in and had a steam function. All rooms have
a Jacuzzi.
Room Amenities: 4 - We paid for an Ocean View and it was more of a courtyard view.
You would get a neck cramp if you looked at the ocean too long. Also, the quality of the room decor, furniture and linens
was fine, but nothing great.
Hotel Service: 4 - The sit-down restaurants could be slow at times, but on vacation it
doesn't matter beacuase there was nothing to rush of to.
Hotel Restuarants: 5 - AWESOME. No need to leave th hotel - food is better here
than the Blue Lobster downtown, which is supposed to be one of the best.
Hotel Amenities (pools, common areas): 5 - Pool, spa, workout room, business center,
club room, beach and bars were all well appointed. Spacious and not croweded even though the hotel was 100% occupied.
They even have beds on the beach!
Hotel Entertainment: N/A
Hotel Location: 4 - I like being right off downtown, however, the beach is right next
to the ferry pier to Cozumel which is a slight eye sore.
Over-all satisfaction with the hotel: 4.5
Over-all satisfaction with the trip:
5 - The vacation was a perfect 10 - the resort was beautiful and well worth the extra money for staying there as compared
to the Gran Porto Real. We were very comfortable, had some of the best beach area left in Playa Del Carmen. Note
that many of the resorts south of the Royal Porto Real Resort have lost their beaches from the hurricane - i.e. the Riu Palace
where we almost stayed and are so glad we did not!
Again, Jenni, thanks for your help, service and great traveling reminders. You are a full service representative
and we feel very confident in booking our travel through you.
