Ratings and comments are taken from a post-trip survey they completed.
Hotel Accomodations Rating and Comments:  (scale 1 - 5, 5 being the best)

Destination: Puerto Nuevo, Mexico (right near Puerto Vallarta)

Hotel-Name: Vallarta Palace

Would you use Apple Vacations Again?: Yes

Accomodations...

Room Size: 5 - Very spacious jacuzzi suite with a nice balcony overlooking the pools & ocean

Amenities: 5 - Mini Bar, Jacuzzi, Balcony

Service: 5 - Everyone at this hotel was SO nice and helpful. Service was top rate.

Restaurants: 4 - The food was pretty good - we kept eating at off-times, so the food was somewhat picked over at times. The drinks were delicious.

Pool/commonareas: 5 - Great pools and great service at the pools. We even had a huge iguana visit us at the pool. Very cool. It is currently the rainy season there, so it would rain each night, but it would be beautiful at the pool

Enterainment: 5 - We highly recommend the free horseback riding that is included in the all-inclusive stay. There is also a small shopping plaza about 3 blocks away from the hotel.

Location: 5 - Great location. Close to the airport and fairly close to Puerto Vallarta ($16.00 cab ride one way)

Over-all: 5 - such a great honeymoon location!

Optional Tours: The horseback riding through the all-inclusive pkg. was a lot of fun. The hotel concierge set us up on this tour for free. We also went swimming with dolphins, and it was one of the coolest things we've ever done. Apple Vacations set us up with this event, and it did cost additional money. It was WAY worth it! We also went on the Rythem's of the Night sunset cruise followed by a tribal dance show and candlelight dinner. This event was also GREAT! It was a very neat show, and the location was beautiful. The staff on the boat made it a ton of fun. This event also cost extra through Apple Vacations, but we highly recommend it. We were going to go on the sunset cruise, which was also included in the all-inclusive pkg, but Steve was sick. I'm sure it would've been great tho.

Did you explore any of the area on your own?: We took a cab into Puerto Vallarta a couple days and went to dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe one night and then a restaurant called Pipi's the second night. The Hard Rock was pretty typical, but fun nonetheless. We highly recommend Pipi's. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Someone came by our table and made guacamole to our liking, and a mariachi band played for $5.00 at our table. The margaritas are excellent and monsterous! We walked down on the beach at sunset, and we came across a tiny little restaurant/bar right on the water called El Barracuda. We had a drink there, but wish we would've had dinner as well becaust the food looked excellent!

What is one thing that people traveling to this area MUST do?: Swim with the dolphins!

Overall: 5 - We had a great honeymoon at this resort. There was so much to do and see, and the service was excellent!
