Room Size: 5 - We had two nice queen beds, they were very comfortable. We had a room with a beautiful
view of the courtyard.
Amenities: 4
Service: 4 The people at the desk and throughout the hotel were very friendly and anxious to help
you with anything you needed.
Restaurants: 4 The Golden Nugget has 3 restaurants. We only ate at one of them, Harlow's. It's a
pretty standard restaurant, but we had great breakfasts, and excellent service. We tended to take a long time with our meals
so we could talk. Not once did I feel that they were rushing us out so they could take our table.
Pool/commonareas: 4 All of the areas of the hotel were decorated very nice. We loved the waterfall area
in the entrance.
Location: 5 The hotel is right on the Colorado River along the river walk. It was very convenient
and easy to walk to all of the other casino's. Or, if you didn't feel like walking, you could always catch a river taxi, which
was kind of fun.
Over-all: 5 The Golden Nugget is the smallest Hotel/Casino in Laughlin (I belive). But, I think
it's the nicest one. It feels much more friendly and intimate there. We had a craps table all to ourselves one morning and
the table staff was very friendly and didn't mind teaching a bunch of novices!
On Thursday and most of Friday, all of the casino's we went into were fairly low key. Not too many people. Friday night
and all day Saturday, it was much busier and noiser. So, if you like a little slower pace, which is why I go to Laughlin,
the weekdays are the time to be there.
What is one thing you would want to tell others traveling to this area?: Granny's restaurant in the Pioneer.
It's really surprising to find such an impressive restaurant in the Pioneer. The prices are higher but it's well worth it.
It's a very intimate restaurant, the wait staff was very professional and unobtrusive, yet they always seemed to be there
whenever we needed anything. The food was absolutely fantastic. You really felt like you were being taken care of.
Vacation Overall: 5 The weather was perfect. The food was great everywhere we ate. And, you can still
get very nice rooms for a very small price. The pace is quite a bit slower than Vegas. So, if you like the crowds and action
of Vegas, you probably will not like Laughlin. But, if you want a little more relaxing time in a smaller gambling town, I
would recommend Laughlin.

Accomodations:
Room Size: 5 - Nice large room and very clean
Amenities: 5
Service: 5 - Everyone was very friendly and the limosine ride from the airport was a nice suprise.
Restaurants: We found a range of restaurants. Each morning we had breakfast in the hotel resturant which
was a little cafe with very good food. We found a gem inside the Pioneer called Granny's. The name does not describe the elegance
and grandeur. We had a two hour dinner there one evening and the food was incredible. We returned for Sunday brunch and were
delighted once again at the wonderful atmosphere and delicious array of food. On another evening we found a little Italian
restaurant and ended up sitting on the patio overlooking the river. Beautiful!
Location: Just a few minutes ride from the airport.
Over-all: Everything was wonderful and we are already planning next year's trip!
Vacation over-all: I've never spent that much time in a gambling town but ended up pleasantly surprised
at how much I enjoyed myself.
