Playacar Palace 10/29/2007-11/04/2007
Accomodations: Oceanfront Honeymoon Suite
RoomSize: 5, the room we stayed in was the size of a one bedroom apartment, minus the kitchen.
Amenities: 5, the room we stayed in had a den, a double person jacuzzi, a large walk in shower, a king size bed, a
big patio right over the ocean and a complimentary bar.
Service: 5, the service was great! the hotel employees do every thing to make your stay unforgettable.
Restaurants: 3, the hotel had an Italian restaurant, a large buffet and a Japanese restaurant. I was disappointed there
was not a Mexican restaurant.
Pool/common areas: 5, the pool was great it had a sallow area to put your lounge chairs, a swim up bar and activities
through out the day. the common areas were very clean.
Enterainment: 5, the entertainment was fun. since we were there over Halloween all the staff dressed in costumes and
they had a great show including Mexican hat dancing and a few other traditional dances in the traditional dress.
Location: 5, the hotel was located right off the strip. there where many shops, restaurants and the ferry to Cozumel
was with in walking distance.
Over-all: 5, we had a great trip that we will remember forever. we did everything from lounging by the pool to swimming
with the dolphins and even spent a day with the Mayans and hiked up the Mayan Ruin's.
Tours: we went on 2 excursions. the first excursion was with Altournatives. we spent the day in the mayan community.
we repelled into a cave, we ziplined across a lake, we canoed and for lunch the local women made us a very nice spread of
there everyday foods. We then took the van to the ruins and hike up 120 steps to the top of Coba. We also went swimming with
the dolphins, we did the "foot push", kissed the dolphins and of course grabbed on to there dorsal fins. these were both great
excursions and we are both glad we were able to take part in this experience.
Did you explore any of the surrounding area on your own?: At night we would walk up and down the strip. there
were many shops and restaurants. the local people were very nice. this was all with in walking distance of the hotel.
What is one thing that everyone traveling to this destination should do/see?: I think spending the day in the
Mayan community was a great experience. we where able to see what they did in the daily lives learn about the people and there
community.
Trip Overall: 5, we had a great Honeymoon! we could not have asked for more.
