RoomSize: 4 - The stateroom with two portholes on the Main Deck wasn't the biggest, but it definitely
had enough room for a couple. Could it have been bigger? yeah, but it was good enough for me.
Amenities: 4 - It has your basic items like towels, soaps, shampoos, glasses, ice container. I wish there
was an iron in the room since all my clothes were wrinkled from the packing. I suggest bringing wrinkler releaser next time.
Service: 5 - Service was great. Room service was prompt and we didn't have to wait long for the food.
I wish the menu was expanded a little more, but they offered good choices.
Restaurants: 5 - Love the food. Pizza bar is great for all hours of the night. Lunch could be eaten anywhere,
but I recommend dinner to be in the dining room. Great food and service from all. I was lucky that my table had some great
people to talk to.
Pool/commonareas: 4 - I wish the pools were a little bigger, or that there were more hot tubs. The slide
was fun. Laying out was no problem since there were plenty of chairs to lay out on.
Enterainment: 5 - There was always something to do on the ship. Be it the night clubs, the performances,
or the comedian. Other things we did were scavenger hunts, and the one you don't want to miss, the Horse Race. Great fun there.
Over-all: 4 - Great first cruise. Now that I got my feet wet, I definitely want to try a longer one with
a couple more stops. Cabo San Lucas was fantastic. The cheap food and the markets were loads of fun. The Camp Carnival that
watches the children did a great job. I think they said there were about 500 kids out of the 2000 passengers and I have to
say that I maybe saw 20 if that the whole time. The staff kept them occupied and away from the adult activities.
Tours you would recommend: 5 - I don't know if you'd call the glass bottom kayak a "sight-seeing" tour,
but it's the closet one to it. This was booked through the shore excursion desk and I found out about it online. We started
on the dock and were ferried out to where the kayaks were stationed near the beach. We climbed in two-person kayaks and followed
a guide down the beach until we hit the peninsula. Fantastic view of the area and plenty of fish to look at in the water as
long as you stay in the more shallow areas. The physical aspect was not that tiring. Aferwards, we snorkeled for a little
while in a marked area. Not really too many things to see there. I wish we could have taken the boat out somewhere else without
as much traffic. I'd recommend doing this excursion.
Did you explore any of the area on your own?: 5 - We walked around Cabo San Lucas by foot. There
is a little presentation Carnival puts on the day prior to reaching the port that explains all the areas to visit and where
to go. I recommend sitting in on it just to get your bearings. We walked the pier and then headed downtown (10 min walk).
We grabbed lunch in a small outside restaurant next to Cabo Wabo Cantina. Great food prices and drink prices. For the next
2 hours we sat and ate and drank to our hearts content. Afterwards, we did a little shopping in the local area. My advice
to you is not to pay more than 10 for a shirt and 20 for any trinkets. You can definitely bargain with them. If they won't
go any lower, just walk 10 yards to the next shop and they have the same stuff.
What is one thing that everyone traveling to this area should see/do?: Go out to the ports and enjoy
the area and food.
Trip Overall: 5 - This was just the perfect getaway and just the perfect amount of time. For a first cruise,
4 nights was plenty. Great service, great ship, and great food.
