Tours:
We
went on several shore excursions through the cruiseline, including a tour of Athens and the Acropolis, and a tour of Ancient
Olympia and site of the first Olympic Games. Everything was wonderful and we would definitely recommend it to everyone.
Did you explore any areas on your own?:
We walked throughout Rome, Florence, and Venice. We
rented a car and drove between each city. Driving in Rome was an experience (one that we'd be happy not to repeat), but
driving through the country side and mountains of Italy was amazing.
Mykonos and Split were easy cities to walk through,
but Athens, Katakalon (Olympia), and Corfu would have required other transportation had we not taken shore excursions.
What is one thing that everyone traveling to this area should see or do?:
It's so hard to narrow
it down to one, since there was so much to see and do. The tour through Athens and seeing the Acropolis was probably the best.
Trip over-all: 5. It was such a wonderful experience. We loved being able to see so much in the short amount
of time we were in each city
